Our Process

Hand picking is a longtime tradition for our coffee workers. 

448 coffee is a pure and single-origin selected blend that is highly qualified as an “excelso gourmet”, considered the best in the world.
 
The selection process is a legacy of knowledge that is passed down over generations from parent to son.  It is a very careful, definitive and complex process. 
 
The ripening point must be in accordance with the bean qualities. After identifying and selecting only the healthiest red cherry beans, they are washed peeled and dried to get the raw product. 

Raw Beans

Coffee beans are well washed and peeled in a special machine, with only natural pure water, and then prepared for controlled fermentation.
 
This is a natural process which takes place over 18 to 24 hours.
 
Then the beans are washed and dried at low temperature to enhance the natural sweetness and the special characteristics of the "excelso" quality.

Roasting

Our roasting process is supervised by an internationally certified coffee master who knows the beans' quality. The size of the bean and its acidity is important, relative to the on-plant maturity, soil and growing conditions.
The master ensures we have the right medium-roasting point for a special smooth flavor, aroma and sweetness that can only be found in a pure Colombian coffee blend.

Brewing

You can use the coffee machine of your preference and convenience for brewing the best Colombian coffee.

There are many ways to prepare and enjoy our excelso gourmet selection 448 coffee.

Tasting

With every sip of 448 Coffee you can find a special organic taste, which is a mix of chocolate, tangerine, sugar cane and citrus fruits.
